French White Dressers

Louis XV, and Louis XVI furniture is some of the most beautiful French antiques.  French provincial furniture became popular in America during the 50's and 60's.    French reproduction furniture was very fashionable.  Bedroom, living room and dining room sets were all styled in the french provincial looks, while at the same time the modern furniture was taking off as well.  The white house during that time was decorated in french provincial pieces.  Today this furniture is featured in home decor magazines such as Home Beautiful and Veranda Magazine.

French furniture is extremely sought after because it is so commonly featured in all the magazines.  In home decor magazines are glorifying antiques because they are hard to come by and rare to be seen.  In particular, Veranda magazine is best known for featuring painted antiques worth thousands.  One thing is true, french style will never go out of fashion.

  • All of those pieces are so unique! I’d love to get my hands on one of those tables, or figure out how to design them on my own. Thanks so much for putting together such an amazing collection of French dressers!
